Oliver Irrigation - General Labourer

Oliver Irrigation is a full supply irrigation distributor with offices in Lethbridge, Taber, Bow Island and Medicine Hat. We have operated since 1950 and have constantly maintained our primary focus – agriculture irrigation equipment.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and hard-working individual to join our Pivot Irrigation Service Department in our Taber location. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of irrigation systems would be an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

The successful candidate will be offered factory training, top benefits and company service vehicle after completing their probationary period. Salary will be dependent on experience.

THE GENERAL LABOURER DUTIES WILL BE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Installation and operation of advanced technology equipment.
• Startup and commissioning of new and used pivots and corner pivots.
• Wiring of new and used centre pivots and corner pivots.
• Troubleshooting all brands of centre pivots.

• Ability to work outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions.
• Communicates well with customers and responds to their needs in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
• Familiar with running a computer/laptop and navigating various programs.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid drivers license and drivers abstract.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical irrigation systems is an asset.
