Warehouse Labourer Jobs

Working out of our Leduc Facility, the Warehouse Labourer will increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and storing materials, as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for pickup and delivery in a high-volume and fast paced distribution environment.
The warehouse environment is subject to exposure of temperature changes, noise, and moving equipment. This position is required to move heavy items, running forklifts, pallet jacks or other equipment on occasion, must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 80 lbs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Communicate positively with supervisors, colleagues and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up
• Follow Company policies and procedures on a daily basis
• Observe all safety procedures, regulations, rules, and instruction in performance of job duties
• Utilize computer to look-up information
• Load and unload in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and organized inventory of product
• Housekeeping - keep warehouse areas organized, swept, clean and hazard free
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks and report on any discrepancies
• Perform other duties as required
• Operate forklift on palletizing line

Qualifications/Competencies
The individual in this role will have:

• Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills
• 2-5 years forklift and telehandler operation experience and/or ability to obtain certification
• Basic computer skills, math skills, and be good with numbers
• Adherence to all of SECURE’s Occupational Health and Safety Standards
• High School Diploma GED or equivalent
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment screening including a drug & alcohol test, fit for duty test, proof of a valid driver’s license and delivery of a satisfactory and current Driver’s Abstract
• Self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines
• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
