C&H Irrigation - Yard Worker / Delivery Personnel

C&H Irrigation is a leading supplier of irrigation equipment and supplies in South-Eastern Alberta. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Yard Worker / Delivery Personnel to join our team in Medicine Hat. As a Yard Worker/Delivery Personnel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, managing inventory, and assisting with the timely delivery of irrigation products to our valued customers. Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of delivery vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate delivery routes, optimizing efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Perform general warehouse tasks, including packaging, picking, and restocking products.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, utilizing forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
• Prepare orders for delivery by carefully picking and packaging items according to customer specifications and delivery schedules.
• Assist with general yard duties, including loading and unloading trucks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and performing equipment maintenance.
• Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, for product delivery to customer sites.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, checking for accuracy and damage.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Accurately record and document received items, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and others.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, demonstrating professionalism and ensuring prompt and accurate product handover.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with irrigation products, tools, and equipment is an asset.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an irrigation or construction industry.
• Basic computer skills for order tracking and documentation purposes.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean driving record
• Flexibility to work outdoors in varying weather.
