Position Overview
Our (Junior) Nuclear Analysts play a key technical role in the performance of our projects within the Calian Nuclear team.
In this role you will be tasked with supporting technical projects in the core areas of the group: Nuclear Safety and Licensing, Environmental Protection, Decommissioning and Waste management, and Emergency Preparedness.
Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and potential business partners
  • Act as a resource to the Director in support of developing business opportunities and proposals
  • Ensure all project deliverables are developed and maintained in accordance with the Calian Nuclear Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Perform and support scientific and technical project work for Calian Nuclear clients
  • Participate, as part of a project team, in conducting technical analyses
  • Support the development of high-quality technical reports and documents
  • Provide support to Project Managers as required, including reporting to clients, reviewing the work of project team members and subcontractors, and supervising project team members
Qualifications
  • Performs work under the direct supervision of a Project Manager
  • Entry level with 0-5 years of experience in a relevant field
  • University degree in Engineering, Science or other relevant discipline
  • Critically analyzes tasks and proposes methods and approaches
Additional Requirements
  • This position can be 100% remote
  • You are required to possess or be able to obtain a Canadian Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
  • There will be some travel required (up to 10%)
