New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Network Solution Architect to help our client with a healthcare system. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure and efficient network infrastructure that supports various healthcare applications, including EHS (Electronic Health Records), PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), InFor (Healthcare Information Systems), and other cloud applications.
The environment is a combination of Campus Area Networks and regional Wide Area Networks across 100+ locations.
Role Description:
- Specify how to integrate Network Access Controls into the environment.
- Integrate on-premises networks with cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or other relevant platforms.
- Implement QoS strategies to ensure prioritization of critical healthcare traffic and applications.
- Design networks with DRP and cybersecurity that involves sensitive healthcare-specific applications like EHS, PACS, and InFor hosted at client data centers and in the Cloud.
- Design networks supporting hybrid cloud that ensure data security and compliance.
- Configure and manage Cisco and Palo Alto network equipment, including routers, switches, access points, firewalls, wireless controllers and security appliances.
- Project management to lead network infrastructure projects from planning to implementation.
- Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Support Audit requests for network security.
- Design complex and scalable network architectures that meet the specific needs of healthcare systems.
- Design secure network segments to protect sensitive healthcare data.
Role Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and IT teams.
- Experience with the network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other industry-specific certifications.
- Experience and leadership skills leading other architects and infrastructure engineers.
- Strong Network Architecture experience
- Definitely an asset if the candidate has familiarity with healthcare operations, workflows, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), knowledge of network requirements for applications like EHS and PACS in a cloud and highly converged environment and knowledge of healthcare regulations related to data security and patient privacy, ensuring network design compliance.
