We are seeking an experienced MRO Buyer to support non-inventory buying and assist buying needs across different functions within Genesis Motion Solutions.

With motivation and dedication, you will have the opportunity of designing and implementing Supply Chain best practices. An opportunity for you to bring forth what you have tried and may have wanted to try. Successful candidates will have a hunger for entrepreneurial environments and creative problem solving.

This position is predominately on-site in our Langley, BC head office. There is flexibility to work from home when needed.

What You Will Do

• Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials, and communicate any supply problems or risks
• Deliver briefs, updates, and reports when required
• Take a professional and consistent approach in all supplier partnerships
• Provide supply chain support to internal customers
• Develop and document procurement processes
• Work cross-functionally across the organization and with suppliers to resolve any issues such as material supply, costing, and purchase order to invoice discrepancies
• Support negotiations with suppliers to secure the best achievable material pricing, payment, delivery, and warranty terms
• Manage a portfolio of materials and suppliers to support both Production and Program (product development) objectives
• Process Purchase Requisitions and issue Purchase Orders for products and services based on negotiated costs and deliverables
• Support the purchasing team in order placements and expedites
• Identify new or alternate sources of supply

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in a Buyer role
• Experience using an ERP or MRP system
• Possess a knowledge base of key supply chain concepts

What Will Put You Ahead

• Assertive and able to influence stakeholders through data and discussions
• Able to work independently, and in a team environment
• Enrolled or completed CPIM, CSCP or SCMP
• A degree in business, commerce, or recognized supply chain or purchasing accreditation
• Strong time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities
• Skilled in communication, negotiation, problem solving, and decision making
• Skilled in interpreting and communicating technical information
• Able to manage challenges while continuing to meet deadlines and achieve goals
• 3 or more years of procurement or purchasing experience
• Detailed and highly organized
• Able to build commitment to ideas, plans, and courses of action
• Able to frame decisions with forecasted and partial data
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and develop solutions when faced with complex challenges
