Mid-Level Backend Developer (Remote, Canada/Europe/Latam)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-level Backend Developer to join our remote team. As a Backend Developer, you will primarily focus on .NET development with expertise in .NET Core. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and APIs. Knowledge of AWS and at least two of the following languages is required: Golang, Python, Node.js, or Rust. Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis is a plus. Additionally, having machine learning experience would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to identify and resolve root causes.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to backend development.
• Integrate with third-party APIs and services as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate project requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs using .NET and .NET Core.
• Implement scalable and high-performance backend architecture and infrastructure.
• Optimize application performance and ensure robustness and security.

Qualifications And Skills

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a remote team setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in .NET and .NET Core.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and RESTful API design principles.
• Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Golang, Python, Node.js, or Rust.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Availability to work part of the day during US hours to align with client requirements.
• At least 2-4 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer, with a focus on .NET development.
• Understanding machine learning concepts and experience with ML frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis.

Reporting Structure: The Mid-level Backend Developer will report to the Development Manager or Project Manager, depending on the project structure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and may work closely with front-end developers, data scientists, or machine learning engineers as needed.
