Medical Lab Assistant Jobs

Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) opportunity is available now at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Williams Lake, B.C. This is a Relief Full-Time position. Days of work are Monday to Friday with rotating shift times.
What Will You Work On
As a member of the MLA team, you will perform a variety of duties in accessioning, outpatients and hospital collections. Typically this involves a lot of patient interaction through collecting blood and other specimens, preparing blood and specimens for analysis, sample processing and send out to outside Labs. Your responsibilities will also include using the Laboratory Information System (LIS), Holter monitor set-up & placement and ECG testing and some other clerical duties.

As a valued member of the team, you will have an immediate impact on the delivery of high quality care, in the largest and busiest centre north of Kamloops. We have 28 inpatient beds, 14 Emergency beds plus a trauma room, in addition to a 4 bed ICU and obstetrics unit. CMH is a very close knit team of multi-disciplinary professionals and we pride ourselves on supporting one another in the Lab, and across the facility.
