Mechanic - Liquids Jobs

We are currently accepting applications for a Mechanic who will maintain our fleet to operate at the highest level. This position is ideal for an experienced Mechanic with previous leadership experience. Please note, the chosen individual must possess their own hand tools and storage toolbox. Successful applicants will be eligible for an annual tool allowance following one year of service. This position requires a dependable, enthusiastic organized individual capable of consistently performing to meet established standards and deadlines.
Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostic work on a wide range of mobile and stationary equipment
• Utilize excellent organizational skills in order to complete accurate, legible and descriptive documentation for all completed repairs
• Install or fabricate aftermarket equipment and components as assigned
• Complete repairs on all mechanical systems as required. Including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, driveline, brake systems, hydraulic systems, hydro vac systems.
• Participate in the GFL safety program and ensure compliance with all GFL and Fleet Maintenance safety standards, policies and procedures
• Experience with Hydro vac’s consider an asset
• Ensure repaired equipment is properly tested for correct performance and operation
• Communicate effectively with Shop Foreman, Lead Hand and Parts Coordinator

Requirements

• Strong Mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipment
• Truck & Transport Technician Apprentice or Journeyman Certificate
• Experience with the Manitoba government safety inspection an asset
• Class 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract required, Class 1A or 3A Driver’s License an asset
