Job Description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Materials Engineer in Fort McMurray, AB, to work a long-term contract at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands, in Fort McMurray, AB. To qualify for this role, you must have 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering.   • Strong verbal and written communications skills are necessary as well as being a team player who is able to work under minimal supervision
  • Job type: Full-time | contract with the possibility of extension Here's why you should apply:

  • Attend and support the facilitator through multi-discipline review meetings and obtaining approval for completed equipment strategies. Communicate the risks and tasks to appropriate levels of the business

  • Possibility of this job extending longer Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Exposure to ExxonMobile equipment degradation documents and PESTRA is an asset
  • Free access to our Aspire Academy for continuing professional education
  • Practical knowledge of Diluent Recovery, Vacuum Distillation, and Fluid Cokers process units would be an asset
  • Work with equipment strategy facilitator to ensure the population of the equipment strategy database is completed to a high quality
  • Develop equipment strategies for fixed equipment located within the conversion, hydro-processing, utilities and extraction cross-functional teams
  • Interact with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations, process technical and maintenance
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering is required
  • Steward the progress of in-progress equipment strategies to leadership Requirements and Qualifications:
