Material Handler Jobs

Adecco is hiring Material Handlers in Oshawa! Our client is recognized as one of the world's leading logistics providers. This is a short-term assignment for up to 4 weeks. In this role you will be responsible for Loading and unloading products for customer orders. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs with previous RF scanner experience. • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | up to 4 week assignment
• Pay rate: up to $19.50/hour
• Location: 883 Thornton Road South (Bus Accessible)
• Start date: Immediate
• Shifts Available: Days - Monday to Friday 6am to 2:30pm; Sunday to Thursday Afternoon 3:00pm - 11:30pm.

General Labour Job Responsibilities:

• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
• Loading and unloading products
• Prepares parcels for mailing
• Cleans warehouse area and other duties as required and assigned
• Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards
• Marks materials with identifying information
• Enters and maintains inventory records in the computer
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas

General Labour Qualifications

• Required to stand, walk, kneel, throughout shift
• RF gun experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience is preferred
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
• Read fine labels and barcodes, must have attention to detail
