Job Description
CAREER OPPORTUNITY AJAX


MATERIAL HANDLER PERMANENT FULL-TIME


MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS


  • Other duties as assigned
  • Operate automated palletizer, wrap and move finished goods skids to Shipping staging area
  • Perform cycle counts for materials in the area
  • Operate lift truck ensuring proper Safety Procedures are carried out
  • Report all discrepancies to Supervisor
  • Maintain transactions in associated warehouse and inventory software systems
  • Ensure FIFO procedure is followed
  • Supply all machine centers with the required materials
  • Accurately complete all required documentation - Tea dump report, Trad Med Pink sheet
  • Pick and stage all packaging materials for required shop orders
  • Maintain warehouse ensuring proper utilization of racking space available
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, to ensure all equipment are in good working order
  • Remove finished goods from production lines to finished goods area
  • Return unused stock to designated warehouse area ensuring proper count and store in racking after finishing production run


Skills, Experience & Education Requirements


  • Able to multitask and prioritize / organized
  • Minimum OSSD, or equivalent
  • Able to take direction, both verbal and written, and communicate effectively
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • 3-5 years' experience working in Material Handling/Order Picking position
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Reach Truck/Counter-balance/Order Picker/Fall-restraint certification
  • Team Player with Operations & Material Handling Environment
  • Must have a demonstrated history of safe work and food safety habits
  • Skills Assessments will be required
