Would you like to work for an industry-leading structural steel provider?
SIN Structures Inc., a division of Steelcon Fabrication Inc., in St. Catharines, Ontario is seeking a Material Handler to work as part of a team that follows best practice processes to ensure customer service is efficient and provides accurate, good quality structural steel materials. A material handler maintains production and distribution of materials by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product.
As a material handler, you will contribute to our team by:
  • Off-loading and stockpiling beams after fabrication
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures, and provincial health and safety standards
  • Loading or unloading structural steel materials onto flatbed trucks
  • Organizing steel materials from suppliers
  • Loading steel on to the SIN Line machines
  • Communicating and working with other team members to ensure proper movement of materials throughout the shop
  • Unloading supplier trucks and stockpile for use
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Handling materials for various operational processes including inventory control to identify and track materials that are being loaded
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and participate in all group health and safety meetings
  • Documenting product shipment by recording materials shipped.
  • Actively and safely operating crane machines to assist with the following:
What You Will Bring To This Role
  • 1+ years of crane experience preferred, but not required
  • Focused on productivity, quality, and accuracy
