Material Handler - Afternoon Shift

Position Overview
Multimatic Ride Dynamics (MRD) is one of the newest of Multimatic’s North American divisions.
MRD is looking for a Material Handler who will provide materials to the assembly lines on a timely basis for the afternoon shift . Perform duties in a productive, safe, and team-oriented manner to enhance the company's efficiency and profitability.
Plant Location: Multimatic Ride Dynamics - 1100 Stackhouse Road, Newmarket, ON, L3Y 8E4, Canadaa
Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure that the forklift checklist is adhered to and completed.
• Follow all departmental and general procedures.
• Responsible for picking inventory and lot control using bar code scanner.
• Responsible for unloading profile material from trucks.
• Responsible for assigning lot numbers to unidentified material.
• Deliver material to the work centers as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Responsible for emptying full scrap containers.
• Ensure that the work area and machinery is clean and safe at all times.
• Remove full bins to designated area.
• Backup shipping and receiving function as required.
• Perform cycle counting and inventory activities as required.
• Prepare bar code labels for bins of material.
• Responsible for returning material to inventory.
• Place empty bins as required.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of three years experience as a material handler with a valid forklift license.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Completion of a high school diploma.
• Warehouse and material movement experience (in automotive an asset).
• Ability to operate any and all equipment if necessary.
