You will work within the Industrial Engineering group to introduce new products and processes into our factory. You collaborate with new product development teams and represent the factory in design for manufacturing decisions. You specialize in electrical design and control systems. You design new equipment and processes, coordinate fabrication/assembly work, and then implement the changes into our production lines. You passionately pursue one-piece-flow production and use lean methods and tools from the Siemens Production System.

What will you do?


  • Complete root cause problem solving using proven tools and methods.
  • Specify, design, and introduce equipment to meet requirements of new products and/or new processing methods.
  • Define comprehensive standards, description of methods and documentation (including also processes, workplace development, tools and methods). Create detailed work instructions for new processes and equipment.
  • Collaborate with new product development designers to determine optimal manufacturing and distribution processes to ensure new products and/or product changes meet all business KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost)
  • Implement flow-based manufacturing and distribution processes and equipment. Drive and support all lean activities in the defined areas of responsibility. Build a continuous improvement culture within the business.


What will you need to succeed?


  • Intermediate level team facilitation, teaching, coaching, and presentation skills
  • Intermediate level experience in a variety of lean tools including but not limited to: Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, One-piece flow, Cell/Line design, Pull Systems & Kanban, 5S/Visual Management, SMED, TPM, Kaizen, Poke Yoke
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing, especially in electronics production
  • University degree in Engineering. P-Eng is an asset.
  • Basic level in project management and agile methods
  • Electrical design, control systems, and PLC programming skills are assets
  • Self-directed and comfortable in a very direct and candid environment focused on results.
  • Experience with robotics, 3D printing.
  • Experience with NX, Process Simulation, TeamCenter, SAP
