Manager, Treasury Jobs

General Description:

The Manager, Treasury will oversee Lundin Mining’s financial activities related to cash management, investments and risk management, in addition to the day-to-day tasks such as cash reports, executing trades etc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to manage the organization's cash flow, as well as mitigating financial risks. They will also be responsible for analyzing market conditions and identifying investment opportunities that will maximize returns while minimizing risk. Reporting to the VP, Tax & Treasury, this role will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial resources and ensuring financial stability and so requires strong leadership, communication, analytical abilities and financial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the organization's cash position, including forecasting cash flow, monitoring bank balances, and managing daily cash transactions.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and the board of directors regarding the organization's financial performance and outlook.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements related to financial operations, including tax laws and accounting standards.
• Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures that ensure the organization's cash resources are properly managed and allocated.
• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure access to necessary financial services and products.
• Analyze market trends and financial data to identify investment opportunities that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Monitor and manage financial risks associated with foreign exchange, interest rate, and credit exposure.
• Develop and execute investment strategies that maximize returns while minimizing risks.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and mitigate financial risks.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial markets, banking regulations, and accounting standards.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management, cash management, or related finance role; significant experience in the mining sector ideal but not essential.
• Proficient in financial software applications, including Excel and treasury management systems.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or another related field.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
