What you'll bring

• Can get into the weeds and work with your team leads and architects to drive technical decisions when necessary, and is comfortable taking a back seat and facilitating to arrive at the optimal decision. Understands how to distinguish between these two scenarios AND when to make that switch.
• Passionate about growing people and teams.
• Good understanding of and experience working with web-based technologies, understands how the full stack works.
• Maintains exceptionally high integrity and intellectual honesty.
• Able to act as an ambassador within and outside of engineering across the company.
• Good understanding of databases, server-side technologies and frameworks, and application servers.
• 8+ years of "hands-on" experience developing enterprise level applications
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Clearly articulates and drives the team mission.
• Mastery level understanding of the software development lifecycle and knows how to run a team to drive it efficiently.
• Kubernetes/ AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, ALB, etc.) preferred.
• Values and relentlessly drives objective decision making.
• Ready to 'step outside' your role to help teammates.
• Acts as a thought leader, translating business needs into technical requirements and oversees the implementation of associated solutions.
• Passion to use your skills to solve real and hard problems.
• 2+ years working with engineering teams in the capacity of product development manager.

How you will lead

• Work with non-technical partners (including customers) to translate complex technical challenges, projects, and outcomes into easily understood, digestible information.
• Be a boundaryless leaders who with need to navigate across the company and capabilities to accomplish your goals
• Effectively resource plan and forecast deliverables based on product, team, and broader company needs.
• Work with product management to distill requirements and challenges into technical requirements for the team.
• Lead a team of full stack developers to solve some of the most complex problems in our Authorization and Authentication capabilities.
