We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Portage La Prairie, MB facility. As a Maintenance Worker, you are responsible for general maintenance, including the facility site, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
• Operate low volume boilers to generate steam for processing
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on equipment in milling facility
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
• Must be mechanically inclined and interested in performing basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks and comment on improvements on the facility's needs
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
• Previous experience with general maintenance and with running forklifts, skid steer loaders, and front end loaders is considered an asset
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively and possess basic computer and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a grain processing environment on elevated platforms and ladders where necessary
