- In consultation with the Environmental Manager, ensure that all regulatory requirements associated with the carrying out of operational duties are completed as required by the relevant regulation, certificate, or permit.
- Generates the detailed weekly and daily plans as well as the 13 week basic plan.
- Generation and optimization of the 52 week workload balancing sheet by department / specialty / technique, targeting a good balance during the days of the year.
- Planning and scheduling of all corrective and preventive maintenance routines in SAP PM / DMS together with the specific execution responsibly.
- Prioritizes the notifications coming from condition monitoring or others and generates corrective work orders in agreement with the requestor.
- Plans all outage work orders by assigning the required parts, tools, procedures, drawings, and outside resources to the work.
- Monitors the realization of the maintenance plans and follow-up tasks defined in major shutdowns on a daily frequency.
- Leads the preparation and consolidation of the shutdown plan (personal, third party services, materials, spare parts, equipment, tools, time, and critical path) for all departments with coordination meetings using Lafarge planning guidelines and tools.
- Tracks maintenance costs daily and parts cost for all major projects and shutdowns.
- Writes detailed scopes of work for all major work, including shutdown activities.
- Assists in setting department objectives and in the development and execution of the annual maintenance budget.
- Leads After Action Review (AAR) for shutdown or major shutdowns.
- Ensure the tracking of performance indicators and achieved results.
- Coordinates meetings with suppliers to stay updated on new tools and techniques available to optimize/facilitate the job execution.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the plant, local/regional bodies as required.
- Supervises/Coordinates contractors and laborers to perform specific tasks
- Works with Electrical Coordinator; Production Managers and Supervisors; Process/Quality department; and Projects team
- Works Independently and in small teams of laborers/contractors
- Reports to the Maintenance Manager
- Prioritizes and generates preventive and corrective maintenance orders based on the results of equipment monitoring. Prioritizes with other departments preventive and corrective maintenance orders
- Completes good quality reports and spends appropriate time in the field to monitor safety and performance of plant mechanics and Contractors.
- Optimizes and distribute the workload in a 52 week span
- Plans, reviews and optimizes SAP PM and DMS including all the PM01 corrective and PM02 preventive routines establishing tasks, frequencies and workload balancing.
- Revises notifications, workload, defines the needs of third party services. Tracks the purchase requests and services of major shutdown/repairs and ensures their on-time arrival
- Achieves personal and departmental goals
- Generates and enters follow up purchase requests for materials, spare and wear parts, ensuring just in time delivery and optimization of Net Working Capital (NWC)
- Schedules weekly and daily maintenance work, 13 weeks out and for major outages
- Consolidates the details of major repairs. Leads the major shutdown meetings and AAR
- Participates in the plant “On-Call” system
- ECAN, Bath Maintenance Budget is approximately $13M per annum.
- Proven experience in planning major work and plant shutdowns using computer software
- Mechanical Engineering Technologist, or equivalent field experience
- Experience with Computerized Mechanical Maintenance System (SAP)
- Extensive experience in heavy equipment repair; experience in inspection is an asset
- Is well organized and systematic
- Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills
- Has Lafarge planner certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with plant personnel
- Strong communicator (both oral & written)
- Has proven ability to work well in a team environment (co-workers, suppliers, etc.)
- Demonstrates commitment to achieving organizational and personal goals
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques (i.e. Pareto Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.)
