Bel Contracting ltd currently has an immediate seasonal opening for an experienced

Underground Mainline Excavator Operator.

Accommodations and travel to and from work site's are provided by the company.

salary based on experience.$32.00 to $38.00 per hour.

Location's : Wainwright,Irma,Bonnyville,Drewberry and Surrounding Area’s.

Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions.

Required Skills:

= A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mainline Excavator Operator working on underground projects.

= Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in underground water, sewer and storm construction.

= Ability to operate an excavator/track hoe in a safe manner.

= Comfortable excavating in close proximity to existing utilities.

= Ability to work safely and stay alert to surroundings at all times.

= Identifying any underground and overhead utilities prior to excavating.

= Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

= Using an excavator to dig trenches to proper grade and depth.

= Be aware of proper rigging of pipe, manhole barrels, etc. and ensure safe work procedures are followed

during the lowering of materials into the excavation.

= Ability to work with trench boxes.

= Strong communication skills.

= Valid Driver’s License (Class 5) clean abstract.

= Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 Certification.

= CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
