Logistics Coordinator Co-Op Student

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the logistics operations of our company. You will make a vital contribution to coordinating personnel and processes in order to achieve the effective distribution of our goods and products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Other duties as required
• Prepare accurate reports for Senior Leadership team
• Utilize logistics software tools to optimize procedures
• Support Marketing Department with trade show operations
• Ensure timely delivery of Trade Show samples
• Arranging carrier to send out our Trade Show crates before deadline & prepare commercial invoices for customs clearance
• Coordinate with sales team to arrange shipping of samples daily
• Coordinate and monitor Logistics operations for sample, order, and trade show shipments
• Plan and track shipment of final products according to customer requirements
• Work closely with Trade Show company and warehouse to make sure shipments move smoothly
• Monitor the shipment and cooperate with logistics service supplier
• Prepare documentation for customs clearance
• Supply Sales Department with daily support and updates on shipment logistics
• Maintain comprehensive daily records of all shipment information

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Being enrolled in a College/University program which requires a Co-op period for summer 2023 (May-Aug)
• Two to five years of logistics coordination/Freight Forwarder/Customs broker/warehouse/trucking experience
• Efficient troubleshooting skills
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced workplace
• College degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
• Experience in process creation
• Highly organized and able to multitask
• Proficiency with UPS/DHL/FedEx software and websites an asset
• Self-driven and proactive
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
• Knowledge of laws, regulations and customs clearance procedure
• Fluency in Mandarin an asset
