Job Description


See Ya Later Ranch is located in Okanagan Falls “The Heart of Wine Country”. One of the oldest and largest estate wineries in the Okanagan, we are considered a must for most visitors to the valley. We are proud to be a member of the Great Estates Okanagan, featuring premium, award winning VQA wines in the south Okanagan.


THE OPPORTUNITY


As a See Ya Later Ranch Line Cook, you help create the dining experience our guests remember. From the moment they arrive, you can be part of creating lasting memories with exceptional food to complement our award-winning wine.


DAILY LIFE


  • Work as a part of a team to prepare and execute daily lunch service and private events.
  • Maintain readiness of kitchenware and kitchen laundry.
  • Prepare and stock food station as required.
  • Daily opening, closing and cleaning duties as requested by our Winery Chef and/or Sous Chef; (A prepared team and clean restaurant are essential for positive guest experiences!)
  • Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.


Requirements


  • Courteous, friendly, professional attitude – demonstrated Emotional Intelligence
  • Minimum one year experience working in a kitchen with desire to become more proficient
  • Food Safe & WHIMIS are assets, although training can be provided
  • Able to work weekends throughout the season and evenings for weddings and other events.
  • Able to lift 40lbs, work in hot summer temperatures & stand for long periods of time
