Licensed Practical Nurse | Educator

Interior Health is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse Educator (LPNE) with recent teaching, leadership, or preceptorship experience to join our teams across the Southern Interior of BC!
The location of this position is flexible, with the majority of the work occurring virtually. The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, covering interRAI education needs and support across the entirety of the Interior Health region.

About The Job
Working to support interRAI across Home Health and long-term care sectors, within the vision and values of the organization, the Licensed Practical Nurse Educator (LPNE) practices within a person and family centred care model, in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice and within employer policies, procedures, limits and conditions.
The Licensed Practical Nurse Educator (LPNE)

• Participates in evaluation, policy, quality improvement and risk management activities
• Works collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team utilizing evidence-informed practice and adult education theory to provide progressive educational programs that will achieve the most effective outcomes in the context of workplace learning
• Works with internal and external partners to ensure overall understanding of the interRAI suite of tools, communicates progress and facilitates site-specific roll-out of the education to meet standards and overall Ministry of Health required goals
• Provides interRAI education services to new and existing clinical RAI assessors on both an individual or group basis, measures education program success and amends plans accordingly
• Performs duties within a program and regional focus and may be required to work both virtually and in person at multiple sites across Interior Health

This is a TERM-SPECIFIC FULL-TIME opportunity until March 31, 2024. Shifts of work will be Monday to Friday, with shift times from 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
