Join Our Team as a Learning Mentor/Behavioural Instructor in Grays!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Mentor/Behavioural Instructor to join our team in Grays. As a Learning Mentor/Behavioural Instructor, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding students with diverse needs, promoting positive behavior, and facilitating their academic and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Act as a positive role model for students, encouraging respect, empathy, and responsible decision-making.
• Provide targeted support and guidance to students with behavioral challenges, helping them develop coping strategies and positive behavior management techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop individualized behavior plans for students, implementing strategies to promote positive outcomes.
• Deliver one-on-one and group mentoring sessions to address specific behavioral needs and foster emotional well-being.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to students, parents, and teachers.
• Liaise with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to student support and behavior management.
• Develop and deliver behavior-focused workshops and training sessions for students, promoting social and emotional growth.
• Stay updated with the latest research and strategies in behavior management and apply them effectively in the educational setting.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and interventions.
• Knowledge of child development, learning difficulties, and mental health challenges.
• Proven experience working as a Learning Mentor, Behavioral Instructor, or similar role in an educational environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students and create a supportive environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop comprehensive behavior support plans.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.
