Role Summary:
Digital Business Automation Services is looking for a Lead Software Engineer with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience with Document Management Platforms (FileNet/CMOD) to provide ongoing support and maintenance. The successful candidate is a team player with excellent technical and problem-solving skills, is aware of industry trends, questions the status quo and can identify and propose alternatives.
What will you do?
The Lead Software Engineer provides support for the application environments within the FileNet and CMOD Platforms. Responsibilities will include, application support, stability, and performance management, monitoring and troubleshooting issues within the software and application environment.

• Identify and participate in system renewal, stability, upgrade, and business continuity projects.
• Perform proactive analyses of relevant system log files to maintain application health.
• Perform production release implementations for business application.
• Provide ongoing support of the FileNet and CMOD Platforms and application systems in our environments, including responding to service requests, problem analysis, resolution, escalation and reporting as necessary.
• Apply analysis skills to understand and assess the impact of infrastructure and technical changes within the environment.

• Experience with JAVA development, analysis, WebSphere and multi-threaded programming
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Experience with Application Performance Management techniques
• Experience with Change Management and Release Management process
• Experience with DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
• Ability to work independently as well as work effectively in a multi-site and cross functional environment.
• Experience with AWS and OpenShift Cloud technology
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Certification and/or experience with the IBM FileNet P8 suite of tools
• In-depth knowledge CMOD development.
• Proven analysis and development skills preferably with a degree in Computer Science, related technology degree/diploma, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years’ experience in design, development and implementing enterprise grade solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks efficiently.

Notes/Unique Requirements:

• On call support and occasional weekend and/or off-hour work to support operations
• This role may require Canadian enhanced reliability clearance, which requires min 5-year Canadian history review (residing in Canada, fingerprinting etc.) by the RCMP.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
