Job Description

Are you a Senior Software Engineer with Leadership experience? Are you well-versed in Python and Cloud technologies? Are you comfortable with efficient Devops processes?


If so, read on. Our client, a high growth Tech company building SAAS solutions and a leader in their space is looking for a Lead Software Developer. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Development, this role will be more managerial than handson will potential to grow as the company and team expand.


This is a permanent role; applicants who can travel to Ottawa on occasion preferred .


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in architectural design and conduct code reviews
  • Lead a team of talented engineers of upto 7 and drive the successful delivery of products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and introduce new technologies and best practices to improve development processes.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience with Devops methodologies and best practices a strong asset
  • Experience with Python and Angular ( or any modern Javascript framework) preferred
  • Experience with SAAS companies a must!
  • 8 + years of experience as a Senior Developer ; at least 2-3 years of formal leadership experience
