This is to fill one full-time permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Land Titles Office, Regulatory Affairs Branch, the successful candidate will be a member of a team working to provide land registration services and information to the public. The Land Titles Clerk is the first point of contact for providing service and information to a variety of customer groups, in person, by telephone, and by email. The Land Titles Clerk provides administrative support, including ordering and maintaining office supplies and contracts, and handles all accounting matters. The Land Titles Clerk also enters initial information into the Yukon Land Titles Registry database relating to more than 100 document types registrable at the Land Titles Office.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration may be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
  • Experience providing financial and administrative office support, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reconciliations, and maintaining office supplies and contracts;
  • Post-secondary course work in accounting, business administration, legal administration, or related field would be an asset;
  • Experience working with a variety of computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Experience performing data-entry and records management functions;
  • Experience providing customer service to a wide variety of customer groups, including the public, and various stakeholders (e.g., lawyers, realtors, appraisers, surveyors, First Nation governments) ;
  • Experience working in a land titles office, land registry office or law firm would be an asset.
Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Additional Information
Job Requirements: may be required to work daily in a limited aisle space and may have to reach overhead, bend, get down on knees, lift heavy boxes (up to 25 pounds) or stand on a step stool to find files and survey plans .
