K-12 English Instructor (Ft/Pt)

After-School English Teacher (Ability to attend both in-person and online classes is required.)

Now we are looking for full-time English teachers and French teachers to join us.
K12/ESL Instructor

• Proficient in English reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Understanding English literature in elementary and secondary school is preferred.
• Available schedule after school and during the weekend.
• Bachelor's degree or above, solid professional knowledge, and relevant educational experience.
• Familiar with English teaching of BC curriculum, BC ELL program.

SSAT/SAT English Instructor

• Previous teaching experience and qualifications are considered assets.
• Tutor-tailored SSAT/SAT courses based on the student level and needs.
• Excellent communication skills appropriate/relevant to test type and students.
• Develop SSAT/SAT Prep Materials if needed.
• Bachelor's degree or above, solid professional knowledge, and experience in English education.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Understand and be familiar with the topics by analyzing the SSAT/SAT past paper.
• Have a good team spirit.
• Available schedule after school and during the weekend.

English Literature And Writing Instructor

• Proficient in English reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Understanding English literature in secondary school is preferred.
• Available schedule after school and during the weekend.
• Instruct students on interpreting literature and assign books to read.
• Provide constructive feedback and suggestions on student essays/assignments/writing.
• Teach students about the structure and content of the English language, including proper grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.

• The interview will be hosted on the Zoom platform. A 5-10 minutes teaching demo will be required during the interview.

Job Details

• Salary: $22.00-$32.00 per hour.
• Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay.
• COVID-19 considerations: The interview will be held on Zoom.

Job Type

• Full-time.
• Part-time.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday. (Need to be flexible Monday to Friday after 3:00 pm)
• Weekend availability.
• On call.

Qualifications

• Teaching Certificate of Qualification in British Columbia (preferred).
• Experience: Teaching for 2-3 years (preferred).
• Ability to commute/relocate: Richmond, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).
