What You’ll Be Doing


The Advanced Analytics & MLOps group is a blended team of full-stack Data Scientists and ML Engineers. Our mandate is to build and deploy machine learning models as data products and services. As an enterprise group we work with multiple partners and use-case types across our bank, including Marketing, Client Operations, Payments and many other business groups. We are also involved in building infrastructural projects, both on-prem and in the cloud to enable ML and MLOps at scale.


How You’ll Succeed


  • Data Science Expertise: You will use your expertise in Machine Learning to develop reproducible models, develop model evaluation, training and monitoring pipelines.
  • MLOps: You will utilize your strong Python programming skills to refactor experimental notebooks into production grade Python modules using functional programming. You will deploy batch models to production by utilizing tools such as Jenkins. You will create tables in our feature/model serving store as a means to store our batch model outputs via Python. You will assist with the maintenance and monitoring of models and data services in production.
  • Trusted Partner: You will actively engage with other data scientists, engineers & business clientele to build trust and credibility. You will support your colleagues in areas by sharing ideas and brainstorming approaches to problems.
  • Champion Best Practices: You will champion the team’s code-style, work-flow patterns and project structure standards You will lead by example by writing great documentation, practicing test-driven-development and properly annotating your code.

  • You have an a degree in: computer science, engineering, the natural sciences, math, other related quantitative field, or relevant work experience.

  • You can demonstrate knowledge of Data Science & Machine learning with Python using common data science libraries, such as the PyData stack, and other ML frameworks. You have strong Python programming skills including creating/debugging Python scripts in an non-notebook environment (e.g. PyCharm or VSCode) and writing modular code in a functional programming style and demonstrated knowledge writing SQL scripts to query relational databases and data warehouses. You also have a familiarity with git workflows such as branching, merging, PRs and Linux systems & proficient at writing basic bash scripts
  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
  • You have a conceptual understanding or exposure of Docker, familiarity with the Flask or FastAPI web frameworks; Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated ability to properly document projects (for example through README.mds); Any exposure to DevOps tools, such as GitHub Actions & Jenkins; Any exposure or familiarity with Kubernetes; Familiarity working with git branching and merging; Prior experience working with Microsoft Azure based tools and environments; Familiarity with front-end frameworks, such as Bootstrap & Angular
