Robert Half is recruiting now for an experienced Jr. C++ Developer for our Calgary Client. As the successful Candidate, you will be accountable for a variety of system architecture and leadership tasks, in a growing and evolving environment. Your strong experience in commercial software development (desktop and server applications) combined with your rock-solid knowledge of C++, strong inter-personal skills and an aptitude for working in a hands-on environment to support members of the team on various projects will help shape the architecture of the Client’s technologies. This role is located in the Calgary, AB. Area but is open to hybrid remote work concession (work from office/work from home) for eligible candidates.

Requirements
MUST HAVES:

• Solid knowledge of standards and techniques used during the Software Development Life Cycle process and applies them appropriately
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ to develop, design and maintain the business systems (including desktop and server applications)
• Proficient object-oriented design and implementation skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability while being detail-oriented and thorough in all work projects
• Experience in conducting system tests, troubleshooting customer issues and correcting software defects
• Working knowledge of C++17/MFC development is a definite plus
• Solid experience in maintaining and refactoring existing code in order to optimize the system
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to partner with all levels of the organization, a commitment to quality user experiences and service excellence
• An enquiring mind with the ability to think outside the box and search for answers.
• Excellent knowledge and ability to refine the design and implement automated testing framework
