About the Role
Invoice Resolution Specialist
Full-time
Somerville, NB
The Invoice Resolution Specialist receives, prioritizes, investigates and processes customer invoice disputes within established company guidelines.
How You'll Help:
- Investigate recurring invoice issues, identify root causes, and collaborate across functions to implement
- Customer experience
- Work with the customer and other stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies while ensuring a positive
- Understanding and applying the business policies, taking corrective action when necessary
- Receive and prioritize invoice disputes
- Corporate – serves all divisions across all departments – juggling stakeholders internal and external
- Customers
- Investigate issues with invoices by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather information about the claim
- Processes to ensure resolution
- Other Duties may be required
- Work with a team to identify and develop strategies for the resolution of invoice discrepancies to minimize
- Interpret and apply customer contracts
- Act as a liaison between external and internal customers to resolve invoice disputes
- DSO (days sales outstanding)
- Participate in or host conference calls and/or meetings to correct and align internal stakeholders with external
Your Skills & Experience:
- Investigative, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Ability to gain a solid knowledge and understanding of Day & Ross’ internal processes and billing guidelines
- Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- A suitable combination of education and related experience may be considered
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced setting, managing multiple files and multiple customers
- Ability to understand transportation documentation and verbiage
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written; persuasive, confident, with ability to articulate an appropriate message to various audiences clearly and concisely
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment; appropriate sense of urgency
- Maintain composure under high-pressure situations and difficult conversations
- Experience in the transportation industry a strong asset
- Good judgment and sound decision making within company guidelines and Revenue Adjustment Policy; understand impact of decision on business and customers
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others to meet customer expectations
- 1-3 years’ experience in billing, rating, collections, customer service or a related field
- Good computer skills, including the use of MS Office; AS400 an asset; ability to learn new programs
- Excellent customer service skills and relationship building skills
- A suitable combination of education and related experience may be considered equivalent.
- Detail oriented with excellent data entry accuracy
- Resiliency and persistence to resolve issues and strengthen the customer relationship
