Job Summary


The Inventor Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models, illogic, Content Center data of various products or systems using Autodesk Inventor software. This role will be a driving force in ensuring 3D transition is streamlined from design, bill of materials and product fabrication. The position will lead to training and coaching of the production release team on utilizing new software and process for deliverables.


Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities


Health and Safety


  • Reports any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act to the supervisor
  • Works in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and regulations including using any equipment, protective devices or clothing required.


Technical/Function


  • Creating fabrication assembly standards and sheets
  • Utilize I-Logic to associate content to inventor models
  • Provides support for next step, down stream tasks and fabrication process
  • Models Inventor content and ensures validation by collaborating with required teams
  • Uses in app tools to further develop tools/content support company growth
  • Continuously engages with design team to associate and maintain product library


Internal/External Customer Service


  • Is proactive in seeking others input in creating solutions that meet internal/external customer needs
  • Develops and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders


Education And Qualifications


  • Inventor certified with thorough knowledge of building systems assemblies, libraries, I-logic, I-Features and Content Center
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field


Experience


  • 5 years of experience in using Autodesk Inventor software
  • Exposure to façade fenestration product and Construction industry
  • In depth knowledge of an Inventor supported manufacturing process

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills, problem solving abilities and professional judgement
  • Exposure to virtual construction software and tools
  • Ability to map existing workflows and recommend technology solutions to support or improve them
  • Resourceful, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Knowledge of product assembly and IOT fabrication machinery
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
