3D Modeler

Insightworks has an opportunity for a 3D modeler. As a 3D Artist, you will be accountable for creating 2D or 3D models and animations of facilities, equipment, other assets, and processes. You will be breathing life into training content, making it engaging and informative. You will work with a team with other talented Artists, Software Developers, and Project Managers. You must be well versed with industry-standard 3D modeling programs and tools, including Blender or 3ds Max. Good spatial skills and a well-honed sense of colour and design, and a solid sense of humour will help you succeed.

Accountabilities

●Create and manage digital assets.

●Interpret pictures, CAD, or Solid works files to create 3D facilities or equipment.

●Understand processes and process steps to create animations that highlight operating and safety risks.

●Follow design guidelines, asset naming conventions, and other technical constraints

●Prototype and iterate on models based on client and team member feedback.

●Create textures for eMap assets

●Optimize, refine, and correct model geometry

●Rig models and characters for animation

●Work with Artists, Project Managers, and Developers to execute projects on time

●Keep up to date with the latest developments in 3D design, capture, and modeling tools, and technologies

●Work independently and meet project deadlines

Requirements

●Solid knowledge of 3D design and the ability to use animation tools such as Blender or 3ds Max.

●Strong visualization skills combined with an eye for detail.

●Ability to take feedback and make changes as required

●Extensive knowledge of design, rigging, skinning, etc.

●Some familiarity with animation techniques

●Good communication skills

●Ability to work as part of a team

●Minimum two (2) years of experience in 3D design and modeling preferred

●Technical diploma in 3D modeling or a degree in fine arts.
