Building Energy Modeler Jobs

M&R Engineering is a leading building systems consulting firm committed to advancing the industry beyond traditional design methods, reducing building environmental impacts and carbon emissions.

An immediate opening exists in Halifax for an Energy Modeler to join a team of sustainable design professionals.

Tasks will involve working with leading edge software to run energy simulations on many small and large local projects including downtown apartment buildings, office buildings, hospitals and university buildings. You will collaborate with teams of Architects and other engineers to improve building designs that go beyond code, including zero carbon, net zero energy and deep energy retrofits.

A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology is required for this position.

Preference will be given to individuals who have:

• A desire to grow professionally through training and certifications.
• Familiarity with LEED®, Zero Carbon Building and/or Passive House.
• An Interest in energy efficiency and sustainable development.
