Intermediate React Developer (Remote)

We make cutting-edge software for the tourism industry, empowering destination marketing organizations and independently-owned businesses to take control of their destination's success. Our small, dynamic team is fully remote, distributed across Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec.
You'll be joining TTC at an exciting time. Having spent the last decade creating forward-thinking digital strategies for tourism organizations, we’re taking the next logical step and developing modern technology solutions to better address their unique needs.
We’re looking for a collaborative and opinionated Intermediate React Developer with a passion for visual design and user experiences, and who is eager to help us build a platform of connected tourism apps from the ground up.
Your Impact
As an Intermediate React Developer at TTC, you will join our product team to build scalable, delightful, and interconnected applications that push the tourism industry forward at the local level. You'll play a key role in the strategy, development, and design of our frontend experiences, providing our partners with software that rivals and outshines big tech solutions.
The Team
The product team at TTC is a small but extremely nimble, cross-functional group that focuses its energy on research, design, development, and support. We believe that the closer these activities are to one another, the stronger our software will be. You will report to Olivier Creurer, our Chief Product Officer, and will work alongside a Principal Developer, a Junior Developer, and a Customer Success Specialist.

Requirements
About the Role

• Debug and resolve issues as they come up in our frontend applications.
• Continuously work on pushing the product forward through new feature development and optimization.
• As an Intermediate React Developer, you'll work collaboratively to develop and maintain a small suite of intuitive and highly polished web applications for a variety of audiences — from destination marketers and consultants to independent tourism businesses and consumers.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to provide strategic and technical input on user experience and interface designs.
• Ensure quality, responsiveness, and performance of all frontend applications.
• Work with customers, clients, and external QA teams to ensure that our frontend applications provide all users with a world-class software experience.

About You

• You're comfortable with — and excited about — working remotely.
• As an Intermediate React Developer, you have a deep understanding of React, React Native, RESTful APIs, Tailwind, and you're fluent in e-commerce development (our apps integrate with Stripe). You've been working with these frameworks for a number of years, and you're comfortable sharing your experience and insights with others.
• You think deeply about function and form. Merely making something work isn't sufficient — you feel it's complete only once it looks and feels just perfect. You have a deep understanding of interaction design, and you love focusing on the little details — layouts, animations, flows — that make software come alive.
• You're an excellent communicator, and you have no problem interacting with customers directly to get at the root of their idea, request, or issue.
• You stay current on new trends and advancements in frontend development while staying focused on approaches that are scalable, flexible and easily interpreted by a growing development team.
