About The Role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team building and maintaining our core frontend services. We maintain what is essentially a visual programming language and solve interesting problems when it comes to real-time collaboration, optimizations, and design language.

This role requires strong knowledge of TypeScript and React, as well as best practices and patterns for designing and implementing frontend web services. You should understand how to organize code into modules: knowing what domain it should cover and the data it should own. Understanding and breaking down problems from product as well as engineering in order to create technical designs is crucial. You should know how to balance trade offs and justify decisions. What you'll do

• Mentor other team members, oversee code quality, evangelize best practices
• Assist in the development of frontend services written in TypeScript and React/Redux
• Discuss and create internal libraries and establish code patterns
• Implement new resources, APIs, and manage data flow between various systems
• Help architecture new services and extend conversational capabilities
• Own, expand, and provide input on architecture, testing patterns
• Work with product and design in planning meetings to choose strategy for the platform
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests

About you

• Humility to learn, grow and share knowledge
• Ability to understand and break down problems into actionable tasks
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• An expert in frontend engineering with Typescript and React
• Familiarity with high level clean code design ideas
