Intermediate Devops Engineer Jobs

The Nitty Gritty:

Big Viking Games is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support our games or other live operations in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure to meet the business needs and goals of the organization.

The Duties:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements
• Implement and manage security and compliance policies and procedures to meet industry standards
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and recommend new tools and technologies
• Work closely with the game or live operations teams to understand the application requirements and ensure that the infrastructure meets those needs
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure to support our live games or other operations
• Ensure high availability and scalability of the cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain automation and configuration management tools using Terraform/Terragrunt to streamline the deployment and management of cloud-based systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, and implement solutions to prevent future incidents

Requirements

The Must Haves:

• 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based infrastructure
• Experience supporting games or other live operations
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Cloudwatch, Route53, CloudFront, etc
• University degree/College Diploma in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Terraform/Terragrunt to manage cloud infrastructure as code
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles, and experience implementing security controls in AWS

The Nice to Haves:

• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
• Strong programming skills in at least one programming language, such as Java or PHP
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
