Information Security Compliance Specialist

Must-haves

- 3-5+ years of experience working within a technical security background

- Has worked within compliance previously and understands the foundations of security

- Strong communication skills and has the ability to work cross-functionally

- Completed documentation regarding security compliance and protocols

- Is familiar with information security frameworks such as OWASP, SAMM, NIST, COBIT, and ISO 27001/2

Plusses

- Experience working within risk management and audit

- Knowledge of security cloud-based environments such as AWS and Microsoft Azure

Insight Global is looking for an Information Security Compliance Lead Advisor to support our client in the higher education industry. This role is a full time, permanent term position of 2-years, with the requirement of one-day a week on site. The candidate would be responsible for engaging with different business units across the organization within their portfolio and getting a full understanding of their IT environment. The role will consist of building and reviewing self-assessment questionnaires to understand the business unit's security controls and assess their maturity levels for information security compliance. The Lead Advisor will be completing a compliance review to ensure it coheres to standard protocol, ask thought provoking follow-up questions, and then build a report highlighting any gaps found with remediation recommendations.
