About the Role:
As an Industrial Mechanic Millwright, you'll be pivotal in our mission. Reporting to the Service Centre Manager, you'll dismantle, evaluate, and rebuild rotating equipment in municipal and industrial facilities. Your work bridges field service and workshop tasks primarily at our Service Centre.
Responsibilities:
- Read manuals, blueprints, and diagrams for equipment procedures.
- Operate machine tools, adhere to budgets, and meet timelines.
- Estimate operational hours and analyze equipment failures.
- Hold essential certifications and operate power tools.
- Use hoisting devices, manage machinery installations, and inspect equipment.
- Understand engineering standards, measure parts, and create repair recommendations.
- Address irregularities, perform maintenance, and assemble machinery.
- Install bearings, align gears and shafts, and perform maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Industrial Millwright Red Seal Certification.
- 3+ years of workshop experience.
- Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ontario Class G Driver’s license with a clean record.
- Forklift operation experience, including Reach and Counterbalance.
- Ability to modify equipment and operate power tools.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and layouts.
Desirable:
Forklift certification (Reach and Counterbalance) – certification provided if required.
