Position Title: Individual Production Support Administrator
Reports To: Director, Individual Projects and Training
Department: Individual
Term: Temporary Full-Time – 1 Year Contract
Work Arrangements: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.
The Opportunity: The Individual Production Support Analyst role supports the operational areas by ensuring timely and efficient handling of Individual Division system
errors and messages from reports, which are the result of activity within the
Individual operations teams. This role performs frequent, regular audits within
the Individual Division to ensure accurate and timely processing is maintained
and works closely with IT, supporting changes and enhancements to system
functionality and problem resolution.

What you will be doing:
  • Review and investigate system and error related messages and reports quickly, to limit the impact on productivity and service standards across the Division
  • Participate in projects and related clean-ups as required
  • Communicate directly with internal clients as required to provide further depth in the handling of problem resolutions
  • Assess the magnitude and implications of identified issues to determine and or recommend the best approach to resolution
  • Audit Individual Operations processes and report findings to management
  • Act as a resource to Operations Staff across the Division, providing them with required process and system constraint expertise in order to provide and maintain superior service
  • Ensure Service Standards/Deadlines are met, while maintaining a high quality of work
  • Ensure key and/or repeated issues are brought to Management’s attention
  • Ensure ongoing timely procedural updates
What you will bring:
  • MS office proficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, while making appropriate recommendations
  • FLMI, ACS designations preferred
  • Individual Operations experience (Ingenium, VAX, FASAT, PeopleSoft, UnderwritingPro) is preferred
  • Adaptable to changing priorities, requiring minimal management direction
  • Knowledge of insurance taxation regulations, legislative and CLHIA guidelines, money laundering, privacy and complaint handling procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of past and current Life insurance products and contracts preferred
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Strong knowledge of processes, procedures and workflows within Individual Operations preferred
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, high degree of written communication required
