Indirect Tax Manager Jobs

We are currently looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to join our team in Montreal.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Taking part in business development pursuits
• Researching and preparing technical positions for complicated indirect tax matters
• Advise clients regarding their registrations and de-registrations, their review of invoicing requirements, the development or review of their indirect tax structures and the analysis of the impact of indirect taxes on special transactions;
• Representing clients with tax authorities (appeals, voluntary disclosures, interpretation requests, collection measures settlements, etc.)
• Providing tailored mentoring and training to other staff members in accordance to clients’ needs
• Due diligence reviews and assistance with post-merger integration
• Overseeing and reviewing Indirect Tax compliance for clients
• Quickly identifying and reporting on client tax compliance opportunities or issues
• Helping perform review or recovery engagements

What you need to succeed:

• Enrolled or having completed the Master of Taxation program or CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Courses
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relations and focus on employee engagement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English and in French
• 2 to 6 years of relevant work experience in Indirect Tax
• Work flexible hours and work within required budgets
