House Manager Jobs

We are seeking an experienced House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations for our UHNW client in their Toronto residence.

This is a busy household, a demanding, cultured environment, semi-formal in nature and kept to high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Step into any housekeeping role if and when required.
• Occasional travel between Europe and Canada
• Manage food, including biweekly food plans, data entry into the recipe database, and simple cooking for one on Tuesday and Wednesday (The cook covers the other days.)
• In collaboration with the Estate Manager, train and manage all housekeeping staff.
• Plan and execute events (Entertaining is hands-on and to the highest standard.)
• Manage all household inventories and provisioning, with the assistance of the housekeepers.
• The House Manager has primary responsibility for organising and managing food and cooking in the household, keeping kitchen inventories.
• Work with all staff and services to maintain household and property standards.
• Lead service when principal in residence and entertaining guests.

Ideal Candidate:

• Have a minimum of five years of experience working in a semi-formal or formal residence in a management role.
• French passport advantageous
• Possess excellent cooking skills.
• Must hold a driving license.
• Demonstrate a knowledge of household technology and mechanical systems. Comfortably manage small repair and maintenance projects around the house.
• Practice discretion and preserve the confidence and privacy of the family.

Package:

• Salary: 80,000-100,000 CAD per annum
• Job Status: LIVE
• Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required for occasional weekends and all-evening entertaining.
• 3 months accommodation provided, then candidate will live-out in their own accommodation
