Home Support Worker Jobs

Eminence Talent Group, a leading company in the health, wellness and fitness industry, is seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals with physical or mental disabilities, and ensuring they have the necessary resources to maintain their daily routine.
As a Home Support Worker, you will play an essential role in promoting independence and improving the quality of life for our clients. You will work closely with them and their families to develop care plans that meet their specific needs and preferences. You must be compassionate, patient, flexible, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions, as per client care plans.
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed, including progress notes and incident reports.
• Manage client schedules and transportation needs.
• Provide daily support and care to clients with disabilities in their own home.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly maintained.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, and maintain a positive attitude under challenging circumstances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
• Minimum of one-year experience working with individuals with physical or mental disabilities.
• Knowledge of basic health and safety protocols, and experience working with medical equipment.
• Certificate in a related field such as Health Care Assistant or Community Support Worker.
