The Health, Safety & Human Performance Coordinator performs routine administrative and analytical tasks in support of the Health, Safety and Human Performance department.
The Human Performance department is responsible for the implementation of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) improvements program in the Black & McDonald Power Generation Region.
The Health & Safety department is responsible for the implementation, administration and maintenance of the Black & McDonald Health, Safety/Environment programs within the Region. Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, Provincial, Municipal Regulations, and Customer requirements for working in a Nuclear Facility.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Export, mine and trend data inputs from large database
- Review incident and Observation & Coaching reports completed by supervisory staff and monitor corrective action(s).
- Participate in safety commit processes
- Communicate trends and insights
- Research best practices for error prevention and incorporate into the B&M Human Performance Program
- Assist with the development of Human Performance data reports
- Attend daily/weekly daily alignment calls and meetings
- Develop and deliver Human Performance and HSE training for workers, supervisors and managers
- Assist with development of safe work practices and job procedures
- All other duties as assigned
- Liaise with various department and stakeholders
- Provide administrative support to the HSE and HU Departments
- Adhere to and promote health and safety program and employee health and safety policy
- Provide Human Performance indicators on project activity
- Collect and prepare metrics for scorecard reports
- Accurately capture meeting notes, document and distribute
- Effective Communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Customer service focused mind-set
- Motivated and initiative oriented
- Self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Human performance / performance improvement certificate / study
- Post-Secondary education in health/safety or related field an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience providing support in a similar function
- 1 years of experience working with large sets of data and reporting
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
- Advanced computer literacy in the following areas, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Foxit PhantomPDF is required
- Ability to multi-task and with strong problem identification/resolution skills
- Sense of urgency and ownership over assigned tasks
- Operates with integrity, discretion and maintains confidentially at all times
- Ability and eagerness to learn new technology systems
