Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Health and Safety Advisor for a long-term contract with a well-established oil and gas company in Foster Creek, AB. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will apply your subject matter knowledge to ensure the consistent implementation of policies, standards, and procedures at the field level. Establishing and nurturing collaborative team relationships is vital to excel in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure H&S planning is in line with the company's business strategy and growth plans.
• Collaborate within the organization to share best practice, lessons learned and improve knowledge management.
• Provide direct support to the execution teams regarding the interpretation of applicable OHS Legislation, Industry standards & practices, H&S program components and worker training requirements.
• Assist in building and sustaining the H&S capability platform tailored to business needs for field operations.
• Stay abreast of emerging H&S issues and legislation. Keep the respective assets updated with relevant requirements and assist with compliance with H&S legislation.
• Communicate relevant and timely H&S information to the right stakeholders.
• Coach, influence, motivate and empower others (internally and externally) with regard to H&S ownership.
• Participate in the review of project-specific safety documents and associated contractor performance meetings.
• Coach on CVE programs, processes and standards.
• Assist in the implementation of the company's strategy, direction and goal alignment with the organization's priorities.
• Steward safe performance of Operational Integrity Management System (COIMS) and related H&S requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
• Able to make decisions under tight timelines and multiple pressures.
• Occupational health and safety education such as NCSO, CRSP, or CRST is required
• Self-starter who is interested in looking for process improvements
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, ideally in Major Projects functions, specializing in the H&S Occupation.
• Prepared to gain a detailed knowledge of all company's H&S standards, policies, and procedures.
• Effective Communication skills in all forms (verbal, written, listening) are essential
• Search for understanding and find new and appropriate solutions.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills are crucial for success in this role
• Possess strong Health & Safety management system technical knowledge.
