Position Profile

The Global IT PMO Project Lead is responsible for planning, executing, and completing projects within set deadlines and budget constraints, aligning with business requirements, and collaborating with Functional Business Leads. This involves securing resources and coordinating efforts among team members and external contractors to achieve project goals. Defining project objectives and ensuring quality control across the project's life cycle is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the role involves supporting project life cycles and offering guidance on Redpath’s ITPMO success criteria and project management methods. The Global IT PMO Project Lead employs strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to optimize the value of IT system investments.


Responsibilities:


Health and Safety

  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by exercising authority, adhering to Company health and safety standards, and promptly reporting any observed unsafe acts or conditions.


Strategy & Planning

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to learn from successes and failures and create actionable recommendations.
  • Engage with decision makers, system owners, and end users to outline requirements, resolve issues, and define operational goals.
  • Implement industry best practices and tools for efficient project execution and management.
  • Using suitable tools, plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze project outcomes, address issues, and provide structured status reports for troubleshooting.
  • Define and consistently share project success criteria across the lifecycle.
  • Communicate, align, and manage clear project expectations to the team, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Maintain ongoing stakeholder engagement throughout the project.


Acquisition & Deployment

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes when necessary.
  • Research software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
  • Collaborate in planning, designing, developing, and deploying new applications and enhancements to existing applications.


Operational Management

  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors.
  • Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Oversee and lead project development from initiation to completion while integrating internal general controls across project life cycles and adhering to Redpath change management procedures.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the project's success.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, presentations, and other related project reports.


Position Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in the field of business administration, management information systems or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with technical aspects like data migration, integration, and customization within the Oracle Fusion environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing large-scale global projects, with experience in multi-country deployments.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams across different regions, functions, and business units.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commitment to evaluating project outcomes and seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Availability to travel globally as needed for project coordination, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed project documentation, progress reports, and implementation plans.
  • PMP, ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Skills to develop and execute training plans to ensure end users effectively adopt the new system.
  • Expertise in change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions during the implementation process.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues, offer solutions and address challenges during implementation.
  • Willingness to adapt to dynamic project environments and changes in priorities.
  • Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion applications and modules, including both functional and technical aspects.
