General Manager - Predominately Mon - Fri (With The Expectation To Work Some Weekends)

Here at Company of Cooks we operate all restaurants, bars, events and staff catering at the Royal Opera House, the restaurant and café at the National Portrait Gallery, and are being invited to return to the Royal Academy of Arts in Burlington Gardens after their 250th anniversary redevelopment. We are excited to be recruiting for a General Manager based at RIBA (The Royal Institute of British Architects).

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly attend client presentations, briefings
• Develop and sustain strong working relationships with the client and team
• Project management
• Continually review, enhance, improve service and food within the site and events delivered
• Work with the Executive Chef and site management team to ensure that the client expectations of food and food service are consistently delivered to the highest standards
• Manage and develop a large team
• Create and review annual budgets with full P&L responsibility

Our Ideal Candidate

• Will have solid industry experience inspiring and leading remote and multi-site management teams with an ideal background in retail/catering and hospitality events.
• Will have excellent commercial acumen and experience managing large turnovers
• Will be a persuasive and articulate communicator with the ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships
• Will have true passion for hospitality, keeping up to date with the latest food trends, be keen to continually innovate
