Frontend Developer With React

Position Description:

As a Front-End Application Developer, you will be responsible for the user experience of our web-based applications through the hands-on development of intuitive user interfaces. You will build these user interfaces with standard web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and with commonly used frameworks like Angular, React, etc. You will work closely with business analysts, UI/UX designers, and with our business clients to understand functional and design requirements, and you will collaborate closely with our Full Stack and Backend developers to ensure that front-end and back-end components work seamlessly together in satisfying our business requirements. You will be responsible for engaging our business clients in workshops to explore user interface considerations, produce and/or enhance mockups and wireframes in support of client and technical discussions, and ultimately develop Production ready front-end user interfaces and re-usable components. The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below but in addition should be a self-driven, dedicated individual who works well in a team and thinks and acts strategically.When faced with a problem, the candidate should be able to ask questions and leverage the skills and expertise of those around them.

Key Responsibilities:

The development, maintenance, and support of the user interfaces of multiple web-based applications and/or distributed applications

Translating high-level business requirements on multiple, complex requests into Production ready user-interfaces

The creation and refinement of user interface requirements through client engagement

Collaborating with a team of 3-7 developers across various locations and providing technical guidance.

Providing assistance and guidance during the QA & UAT testing phases to ensure test cases are appropriate and determine the root cause and best resolution of defects or escalated issues

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related field required

At least 7+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer using common web technologies and best practices

Experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript is required

Experience with developing web user interfaces with React and/or Angular required

Experience with working on the development of complex web applications based on service / micro-service oriented architectures.

Experience with managing source versioning control with tools like Git

Understanding of Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns

A strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and ability to deliver solutions using TDD, BDD

Experience with Jenkins, CI, Sonar and any test automation tools like Cucumber or Selenium

Excellent problem solving skills

Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions and different roles

Great client communication skills. Ability to deal with difficult situations/individuals gracefully.

Experience with API development or back-end development in Java a plus

Experience with UI/UX design a plus
