Title: Freight and Transportation Procurement Manager - Canada

Location: Remote

Pay: $100-120K

Job Details:

• Develops and trains staff
• Analyzes transportation carrier performance and trends in both historical and current data to create, optimize, and dynamically maintain forecasts.
• Collaborates with Marketing team to support and evaluate new product launches.
• Supports management with risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Publishes forecasting KPIs and accuracy metrics.
• Build and manage relationships with external carriers
• Negotiates pricing and rates with carriers
• Collaborates with Sales and planning teams to ensure key customer and promotional activity is captured in forecast models and process.
• Lead process improvement initiatives for the department

Job Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to others in a cross-functional environment.
• MUST have experience with LTL and TL in Canada
• Knowledge of inventory practices and principles.
• Five (5) years of experience with a 3PL OR in a Transportation Department within a corporate organization
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and MS Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Economics, Logistics
• Strong problem-solving skills.
