Job Description
Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join the team at it's Brampton manufacturing facility on day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM). Start from $21.67 to $32.16 per hour depending on experience.


Responsibilities


  • Move steel parts using counter-balance forklift, manually, or using other material handling equipment.
  • Perform required checks and inspections on equipment and materials.
  • Plan and carry out material movement based on schedules and instructions.
  • Organize equipment, materials, time, and work areas for maximum efficiency.
  • Locate parts by customer, thickness, size, grade, and other characteristics.
  • Above all, work safely!
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisors and co-workers regarding material movement requirements.
  • Contribute to the accuracy and maintenance of inventory and material location databases.


Requirements


  • Able to speak, read, and write English at a conversational level.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs).
  • Able to count large quantities and perform basic math.
  • Strong counter-balance forklift operator experience with valid training certificate.
  • Experience with Reach, side loader or walkie-stackers is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
